On July 20, 1973, Lee 李小龙 have dinner with former James Bond star George Lazenby in hong kong, due to a film discussion. According to Lee’s wife Linda, Lee met producer Raymond Chow at 2 p.m. at home to talk about the movie Game of Death. They worked about 2 hours and then went to Lee’s colleague Betty Ting Pei ’s house. They three talked about the script, and then Chow left to attend a dinner meeting.
After a short while, Lee complained of a headache, and Ting Pei gave him an analgesic (painkiller). At around 7:30 p.m., he went to lie down for a nap. After Lee did not go for dinner, Chow came to the apartment but could not wake Lee up. A doctor came and spent ten minutes attempting to revive him before sending him by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. However, Lee was dead by the time he reached the hospital. There was no visible external injury; however, his brain had?distended about, from 1,400 to 1,575 grams . Lee was 32 years old. The only two substances in Lee’s body were Equagesic(止痛药) and cannabis(一种毒品). On October 15, 2005, Chow stated in an interview that Lee died from a hypersensitivity to Equagesic, which he described as a common ingredient in painkillers. When the doctors announced Bruce Lee’s death officially, it was categorized as “Death by Misadventure.”
Another theory is that he died from an allergic reaction to marijuana, which he was in smoking form. At the very least, Wu suggests that the official Inquest on his death should have concluded that his death was due to a hypersensitivity to Equagesic OR cannabis, as the role of cannabis could not be entirely ruled out. He also points to the fact that Equagesic was not present in Lee’s body during his first collapse.
However, the exact details of Lee’s death are mystery. Bruce Lee’s superstar status and unusual death at a young age led many people feel curious about his death. When I was baby until kid, I stayed with my grandma. My grandpa has passed away before I was born. However, My uncle face looks similar to grandpa. I wish to use this 2008 Cheng Beng opportunity to express my condolence them. I remember when I was a kid, everyday after kindergarden class, I was taken back home by my grandma, pampered in her nice food and old times song. She had been taken care of me during my kid time until i went to school. If i am not mistaken, she passed away at my standard 3-4 due to cancel disease.. Every year I will be reporting myself to the Ipoh Siam Temple at Kuala Kangsar where my grandpa & grandma staying now. Reallly miss them lot… Grandma, hope you are living good down there… i love you..
