I continue to use streamyx because cable is still the fastest and stable in malaysia. But i am still using Maxis USB broadband since August. Maxis give 7 days to subscribers to use the package but if more than 7 days, you need to pay RM200 for cancellation handling fees. Initially when i used it, although it cannot compete with cable, but i still can surf net and read email. However when the longer i used, i found that the speed connection speed has lot of problem. One day, I was going to Prangin Mall to shopping and there is Celcom roadshow. I took my laptop out and try my speed test compare to Celcom. For those who are not from Penang, Prangin Mall is the shopping complex and located in Georgetown just besides Komtar. Can say it is the famous and centre of penang. I was very angry to see that the Maxis Speed is damn really slow compare to Celcom. I do not mean to side Celcom because I understand that both wireless medium will have speed limitation. To have a fair and accurate comparison, I use my laptop to test both Maxis and Celcom USB adapter. Here are the speed test i did

I do not want to explain the result, picture tells you which is good and which is cheater.
While giving up Streamyx, I start looking for other broadband package. The first thing came across my mind is Maxis Broadband which is very famous recently. I throw a lot of question to their operators because I want to ensure I have a better or equal with streamyx. Money is not a problem I am a web internet marketer therefore I need a fast upload and download broadband.
After few years Q&A with Maxis support team, I came out this individu report for MAXIS. Actually MAXIS is not as good as what i was thinking..
Here we have:
MAXIS ATE MODEM: with a portable modem which is good for those almost work from home. Need power adapter. Initially I was using it but found that it is very very slow. MAXIS Broadband has a 4 type of network mode- HDSPA, 3G, EDGE, GPRS. At my room, I only get GPRS which is the slowest 56kps speed. I was moving the modem up and down but due to the limited LAN cable length, I was not able to get a good network. So the next day, I changed USB wirelsss MODEM.
USB Wireless MODEM: if your situtation is like mine, I advice you to terminate the previous account and apply for new USB MODEM because this could save your RM100. the modem is small and light.. good for mobiling . The intelligent is it can install software automatically once you plug in the USB cable. I carry this USB Modem with my IBM laptop. Walking around in my room like feng sui master. Finally i realize that different square fit in my room has different strength of signal . For example, I receive 2 bar GPRS at my desk but I can get 3 bar HDSPA on my bed. Things you need to bare in mind to get the fastest signal
1)Check with MAxis Operator to ensure your area is under high speed coverage
2)make sure your house main door or window is opened so that the signal won’t distorted. just imagine you are sending a pigeon out but if you lock the door,how the pigeon getting out from your house?
3)reposition the USB Modem at different location such as below your leg or on your head.
In summary, both MAXIS broad band cannot attract me and I will return it within 7 days. The reason is because they are not enough fast to satisfy my job. There is one thing in MAXIS, which is the MAXIS wired broadband, but unfortunately this is only for certain area like Klang Valley.
By the way, I will stay back on Streamyx because I have no choice. MAXIS Broadband cannot even SMOOTHLY perform youtube, adsense, outlook update, etc during in Highest speed HDSPA 3.6Mpbs . If you are online gamers, then forget about that. And you can forget about Celcom Wireless broadband as well. As we know, cable is still much stable than Wave unless MAXIS put more efffort on the development…
Old folks say, when people in bad luck, they may walk reversely.. Between June to July, my home phone line was stolen twice in Taman beringin Kulim.. both cases are happened mid night during weekend.. Make me damn dissapointed and switch to Maxis broadband today…
The first time was happened end of june. While the line was suddenly unconnected while woke up next morning. I knew it was something bad happened as i was experience 5-10 stolen cases within 2 years. Without brushing teeth, i put off the clothe and quickly drove to the nearest Telekom and made the complain. The operator spoke nice. asked to me wait 3 days for the line fixed. “Ok”, I replied politely. ROM is not built in one day. Ok , i was forced to work in kopitiam at night..drink white coffe everynight. I know I am mercy, I gave them extra one day! Thursday morning, When i picked up my phone, SHIT!! telekom bluff me!! I called them from my office and the operator told me that on Saturday my line can be fixed… I was getting worry but trying to calm down myself with my patient… On Saturday, I tend to back to office and called telekom. As nobody working in weekend, I speak loader. Operator picked up the phone. I told them my phone line issue. you guess what the operator replied? She asked me wait 3 working days! I was like jumping up and straight away asked her to transfer the call to the manager.. She transfered.. I spoke to the manager, ask her what the hell going on and what is the reason behind dragging the group of residents. She asked me to hold on because want to asked the technical manager in my residential area. After that she replied me that due to many stolen cases happened , telekom has no cable to replace.. I was frustrated to their service when she said she cannot do anything. Ok, I want the technical manager phone number! I called the technical manger, he told me that he need 15 days to order the cable. 15 days!!! the government can change from UMNO to PKR. 15 days!! A woman can fallen love to another man!
I insisted to have my phone line fixed. As a no power malaysia resident, I came out a Best solution and this is the only solution i think we can do.. I called the technical manager twice per day. Until the manager gets frustrated, and he helped me to fix my phone line. Just me. I am the only one who can online in my area! Good Job!
Nightmare hasn’t gone yet… last night, My phone line was being stolen again…I sat in front of my pc.. heart is died.. I told myself. Sorry telekom, I know it is not your fault .. It maybe the police incapabiliy, maybe the fucking merchant who offers good price for the copper cable recycle…But at this moment, I would like to subscribe MAXIS wireless broadband..
I came to maxis centre and apply everything done within 1 hour. After research, here i am also want to tell you what are the differences between these telecommnication providers package.
MAXIS WIRELESS with LAN MODEM - 3.6Mbps , wireless router, for more than 1 pc, only for coverage area, not good for mobiling but good for home use. Only RM88 for maxis users. Billing all integrated in phone bill.
MAXIS WIRELESS with USB MODEM - 3.6Mbps, Wireless, only 1 PC, can be connected ANYWHERE because the network algorigthm can switch among different network topoloy(for eg, from 3G to GPRS when 3G does not existed.) , can surf net when car is moving. Small adapter. Only RM118 for maxis users.Billing integrated in MAXIS phone bill
Telekom Streamyx LAN Modem -1Mbps, Wired, more than 1 pc, need to attach to your house phone line therefore you need extra RM26 to rent the phone line. Connection unstable when people call in. RM88+RM26 =RM114. Billing is messy, one phone bill, one streamyx bill. NO E-biling, hence you need to check yourself.

From my previous post, I mention about Fan Ban Keong ’s house got a Siam girl. The Siam girl is a very very weird person. He already told the Siam Girl that she has to stop staying his house. But the siam girl pretend not hearing it, keep on saying she is poor, she come far from here, she doesn’t understand what is he saying.. He has changed all the door lock. however, in that midnight, while he is sleeping, he heard that his front door is bang and knock loudly! The sound is getting thunderous, shaking whole house.. He covered himself in his thick blanket and think whether want to go out and talk to the girl… At last, Fan Ban Keong didn’t go out, as he doesn’t want to have any harsh contact with her… The next day, Fan Ban Keong couldn’t find her and until now he never see her. When he check the master room(where she stayed before),found that the Siam Girl left a dress cloth on the bed…. He suddenly feels very cold… feel that there is somebody living with him in the house…. in fact he is the only one in the house….
